Eva Etzioni-Halevy and "Triumph of Deborah"

Last month, Eva Etzioni-Halevy spoke to our lunch and literature series book club group via phone from Israel about her recent book "Triumph of Deborah". This novel explores the issue of justice, power and feminism through Deborah in ancient times. You can read more at Eva's website at http://www.evaetzionihalevy.com/

  1. I truly enjoyed our translatlantic "meeting."

I noticed that the Meyers Library features interesting authors' events. I have not seen many libraries in Jewish congregations that are that active. You can be proud of your library and librarian.

  2. Hi Eva, thank you! We are fortunate to have the oldest and largest Jewish Book Fair in this area and so many authors walk through our doors.

We thoroughly enjoyed the book club "transatlantic" meeting with you and we are looking forward to your next publication!

  3. Dear Francine,

Thank you for your kind comment.

You probably invest much effort and talent in organizing the book fair as well as the library.

    Wishing you much success!

  4. Our largest book fair which brings in more than 50 authors takes place in November. Heidi Budaj is the multi-talented director with her crew and volunteers and the library is a willing participant! The library featured authors at a mini-book fair, book club sessions and our annual Special Speakers Series which takes place this year in September to mark the library's 50th Anniversary.
